y’all, y’all, Y’ALL!
Freaking huge props to Josh Rainwater for putting together an amazing issue of Stranger’s magazine. I am so excited to have been a part of this awesome publication for both issues.
When I was photographing this thing, I almost cried. It is so refreshing to know that there are so many talented people within reach.
Strangers is a publication that showcases the multifaceted talents of an awesome community of artists who are, in terms of their contributions to this magazine, strangers. There is no collaboration between contributors, just the individual completion of assignments based off of a very broad topic. In this issue, you’ll find each persons artistic solution to the themes of Home, Books, Black & White, Strangers, Kinship, Shel Silverstein, P.S. and Music.
76 pages of awesomely inspired stuff from a wonderful community.
Damn it that tumblr limited me to 10 photos.

My friend Josh started publishing his own magazine called, “Stranger Magazine.”
“Strangers Magazine is a publication bringing zine culture to the coffee table book. We strive to give those who make impressive art a chance for publication.”
I was sent a copy and was immediately impressed by the presentation and talent showcased. Between photographers, poets, illustrators, comics, writers, and musicians. It even comes with a CD with the featured musicians. It’s $6 for print & $4 for a digital copy. Not too shabby of a price that holds a lot of great artists. Plus, this is the first time Josh has ever put together a magazine and it’s something really great that he’s dabbling in. I support anyone (especially my friends) who venture off and doing something amazingly creative and spread art by all means necessary. The mag is put together nicely and I enjoyed every piece that was published. So if you have some spare change, buy yourself a copy of the first issue of Stranger Magazine. Josh is a great guy and i’m very proud of what he’s accomplished.
Very grateful to have Kyoko’s support. Can’t wait to have her work in Issue Two! Make sure you grab your own copy before they all sell out!
