Over the summer, when I was asked to contribute a spread to the first issue of Strangers Magazine, my friend Josh told me the theme was “Firsts.” Having just graduated, my immediate thought was,
well, this is the first day of the rest of my life.I developed this concept into a visual timeline using first day of school portraits to illustrate the evolution from the comfort and naiveté of childhood to the oh-shit-what-now of sudden adulthood.
The truly funny thing is, I’m 22 in all these pictures. Let’s please laugh about it.
